Happy 4th of July! The American Flag in Fireworks

What are you looking forward to during this holiday weekend? Food, fun, and fireworks. That’s what I look forward to every 4th of July as we celebrate our great nation’s independence. Thankfully, 4th of July celebrations never roam too far from home. You can celebrate this holiday weekend right here in Collierville if you want!

Bring your family & friends to enjoy live entertainment, good food, children’s activities and a spectacular fireworks show – Don’t forget your lawn chairs! I repeat: DON’T FORGET YOUR LAWN CHAIRS! I made that mistake one year. I mean, sitting on the ground with a blanket isn’t necessarily a bad thing….but the ground gets hard. :o

This is all taking place at H.W. Cox Park on Saturday, July 3rd. Food and vendors will be on site in the parking lot, and you can skip the traffic and enjoy a FREE ride to the park with a shuttle service that will travel between CHS and H. W. Cox Jr  Park, 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. What about you?

Here’s a lineup of the day’s events courtesy of Collierville Parks:

  • 6:00 p.m. Event Kick-off
  • 6:05 p.m. Soul Shockers with  “American Idols” Alexis Grace
  • 7:00 p.m. Mayor & Board
